YEAR END 2010
With 2010 nearing its end, and 2011 just over the Horizon, the Proffid Team wants to thank you for a great year, where we enjoyed working with you.
As with every year, there are some steps to be taken, and some New Year's resolutions to be made. Please do take some time to study below topics and click on them for further Information.
NEW Proffid Opening hours in 2011 !!!!!
With the new year, Proffid will start extending our office hours: Monday-Friday 9am - 5pm will change to Monday-Friday 9am-9pm. These hours will now become 'regular' office hours, giving you greater flexibility to contact our Helpdesk. We will initiate this for a trial-period of 3 months ( till 31st of March 2011) and if this truly fullfills your support needs, it will become permanent. This means also that our after-hours rate will start after 9pm during weekdays.
Proffid will be available for Emergency support on the following days:
Friday 24th of December, X-mas Eve ( office closed all day)
Saturday 25th of December and Sunday 36th of December, X-Mas (weekend support as usual)
Friday 31st of December 2010, New Year's Eve (office closed all day)
Saturday 1st of January 2011 (weekend support as usual)

Fidelio Property Management System:
- What do I need to do for year-end 2010?
In the night from 31st of Dec 2010 onto the 1st of Jan 2010, the nightauditor actually does not have to do anything special, just run the night audit as usual.
You may want to :
- run some reports on the 31st of December, before the night audit just for your convenience (e.g. if you use Accounts Receivables, the Aging Report), check with your Accountant and management team
- run a year backup of your entire system ( and store this '2010' tape securely ) this would include a backup of figures in Fidelio and any other Financial system you normally backup, up untill 31st of Dec 2010. Check with your IT responsible

- Christmas - New Year menu assistance

For Christmas you may have planned a special menu. Would you like us to program this, please provide us the menu before December 15th, to be sure it can be done in time, Requests after this date will not be honoured.
- What do I need to do for year-end 2010?
For Micros POS ( e7 / RES / 9700) there's not really anything that you need to do, however do keep in mind:
a. if Micros is interfaced to Fidelio/ Opera or Other PMS, you may need to check if the automatic-end-of-night will fall into your extended opening hours. some figures may fall on 31st and some on the 1st.
b. no figures will be reset ( no year totals, grand totals), your reports date-selector will enable you to to a year or month-end report as you normally would do.
c. for the Micros RES ( 3700) installations, using the Product Management (Inventory) module; you may want to check / create your 2011 accounting period(s) before the year ends
